Accomplishing our vision for the revitalized library requires repurposing and redesigning the floors for collaborative learning, multimedia production, research support, peer tutoring, math development and writing development.

The Stockton campus seeks to build a forward-looking library building that anticipates the teaching, learning and researching expectations of the University of the Pacific campus community.

This reimagined library provides an inviting place for the intellectual work and social exchange that together produce deep learning. Cross-disciplinary discovery and multi disciplinary inquiry flourish through easy access to library research, source evaluation and critical reasoning experts. Other student academic support providers offer academic writing, technology help, and multimedia production assistance.

For centuries, the academic library was the sole provider for the information that students needed for papers, graduate students need for theses, and faculty needed for articles and books. Over the last twenty years, that model has changed dramatically. While we still offer high-quality research collections, we have expanded our educational program to offer online searching instruction and information evaluation guidance. We are partnering with student success colleagues to offer writing assistance, further critical thinking and peer tutoring.
